The cost of a neuropsychological evaluation depends on how much time is required to do all aspects of the testing or evaluation. Fees are based on age, complexity, and focus of assessment. The price includes the initial interview, review of records, actual testing, scoring/interpretation of test information, report preparation, and a feedback session.
Athlete baseline and acute concussion evaluations require less time than comprehensive testing and therefore cost less.
Parent and Individual Cognitive Coaching/Rehabilitation cost less than neuropsychological testing. School observation fees are higher due to travel time.
Consultation fees for specialty procedures in the hospital such as brain mapping and inpatient testing can be provided upon request. Fees for expert forensic/medical legal neuropsychological evaluations can be provided upon request.
*All fees must be agreed upon and satisfied prior to evaluation and/or consultation.

In Network Providers
We accept the following companies as in network insurance providers:
- Health First
Out of Network Providers
Space Coast Neuropsychology Center accepts most insurance companies as a participating out of network provider. For your convenience, we assist with insurance verification prior to scheduled appointments.
Out of Network Insurance Reimbursement:
Depending on your specific plan and deductible, reimbursement from your insurance company may be available. If you are calling your insurance company, be sure to indicate whether you were specifically referred to us and find out if they have a neuropsychologist on their panel.
If a patient is self-pay, a detailed statement of fees will be provided at the feedback for clients’ submission to insurance companies for self-filing.
What’s not covered by insurance:
Most insurance companies do not cover testing for developmental delays, ADHD, or learning issues, as they deem these services ‘educational’ rather than ‘medical’, even if the provider is ‘in-network’. We do not accept insurance for Learning Disability1, Gifted evaluations and Direct Concierge care provided at home, school, or by secure video (telehealth).
Accepted Payment Forms:
- Cash Payment
- Debit Cards

Not Accepted Payment Forms:
- Payment Plan
*Payment for services are expected at the time services are provided.
1: Learning Disability testing is not covered under insurance in the state of Florida because it's deemed educational and not medical. To reduce the out-of-pocket expense, we will work with you to determine if a targeted assessment is appropriate versus a comprehensive evaluation.
2: Neuropsychological services are not covered by Medicaid plans.
